Welcome to the Rocky Mountain Rainbeaus
The Rocky Mountain Rainbeaus are an all inclusive, all levels, high energy, square dance club. It doesn't matter whether you're gay, lesbian, bi, transgendered, or straight; we welcome you to dance with us anytime. You may remember square dancing in Jr. or Sr. high, but honey, this ain't no Granny chicken-steppin. Get ready for some high energy, fast moving, and totally fun dancing.
Square dancing with the Rainbeaus is not only just about the greatest way to exercise, it's also a great way to get out and meet new friends. Gay square dancing does not have a dress code, and you don't have to have a partner to dance. In fact, we encourage you to dance with other folks so you can meet new friends, and learn to dance even better. New classes are starting all the time, so come on down and learn to square dance. You won't regret it if you do, but you'll never know for sure what you are missing out on if you don't give it a try.

President's Corner - February 2012
Hello, Rainbeaus. I thought I'd try out this fancy schmancy "submit an article" link to see how easy it is - turns out it is pretty easy! Anyone can submit articles for this website, and boy, do we need content! If you look over to the left, you will see a "Submit an Article" link - click on that - and away you go!
This website holds so much promise - we can upload pictures and videos and lots more, but all of us need to add this content to the site. We hope to use this site to generate our weekly e-mails and send out the articles that are submitted in a weekly digest form. Hopefully, as people get used to navigating this site, we can use it to further publicize all of our events.
The board is hoping to see all your smiling faces at the Anniversary Dance in two weeks (February 24th and 25th) - this is such a fun time to see folks you may not have seen for awhile as well as dance to a terrific caller - Mike Kellogg! I danced to him in Albuquerque, in the morning, as all the hot air balloons were rising to a brilliant New Mexico blue sky!. Don't think I'll ever forget the sight of a great flying pig overhead while I was Weaving the Ring. Come and enjoy his choreography, the delicious meal and all the dancing you can handle for the mere cost of $35 (until this Thursday - Feb. 16th).
The board met on February 11th to say goodbye to some old board members (is that like an old queen?) - Erick, Steve, Brett and Eugene. Rahn is thinking about staying on as the R&R representative - we'd love to have him continue his great work with the board! This year's board's mission statement is to create opportunities for having fun - whether that be dancing, or parties or socializing! Life is too short not to have fun! I look forward to working with Thomas, Doug, Ellen, Carla, K.R., Mark and (hopefully) Rahn! We have an incredibly FUN schedule for 2012 - everything from dancing in a GLBT concert in May to maybe dancing at Charlie's - watch for more details!
Finally, just a word to thank all of you for your incredible work and tireless effort to make Rocky Mountain Rainbeaus THE best square dance club in CO. Seriously, if you listen to other members of other clubs, they all, without fail, compliment our club for our great people, our great organization and great ideas. We already have 86 paid members for 2012 (and that's not counting the Clementine Class), so we may be hitting our 100 member mark sometime this year. That's because of all of you!!! I am always humbled by your generosity, love and kindness shown to all who come and dance with us. Bring on 2012!!!
